Sweet! Yep, on the road for a year or so. Southern Utah April 9-19. Bryce, Zion, the wave, Page Az and then not sure after that. Gonna float somewhere for a while till Maroon Bells and the Crystal Mill open, then Yellowstone, Teton, Canadian Rockies and everything else. Outback should be awesome.

Ray Mathis replied:

Where you at? I'm in Torrey tonight. My cell is 815-353-5312. Have you ever been to the Trail of the Ancients bristlecone forest near Cedar Breaks. It's 3 miles west of Brian's Head ski resort. Wondering if you'd like to join me out there. Many of my bristlecone shots are from there.

Hey, you on the road again? I will be April 9th. Got to present in Denver April 10 and then heading to Grand Junction, and then all points West. Eventually end up in VOF I'm guessing. Got a new Subaru Outback - White for the desert of course. Keep in touch. Maybe we can meet somewhere.

Every effort is made to match the original transparency. That said, there was a time when I developed cataracts, and scanning and preparing images for this website became difficult. Now that I've had surgery and can see clearly again, some of the images seem a bit too saturated in color. That's because cataracts mute colors. It's like looking through window covered with a film of grime and dirt. The challenge and reward in 4x5" landscape photography is to capture things as they really are, and get the exposure just right. And at over $6 a shot, it pays to be very selective. ...
